Our Program

 

     St. Raphael is one of the biggest Parishes in the city of El Paso

First Step: In Order to become a St. Raphael Religious Formation Volunteer, you need to complete the Volunteer Form or the Catechist Form. Please email us at religiousformation@straphaelelpaso.org to obtain the forms

Second Step: Complete the Virtus training. The Catholic Diocese of El Paso has implemented the “Protecting God’s Children” program (VIRTUS) in order to ensure that children and youth, who worship, study or participate in activities sponsored by the Diocese’s parishes and parochial schools will do so in the safest environment possible. The Diocese will require that background checks be conducted on anyone 18 and older, who volunteers in any school or parochial function or activity.  This training conducted at St. Raphael is only for St. Raphael Parishioner volunteers. If you volunteer in another parish, you have to attend the training in you primary parish.

Due to the strong content of the video, Children are NOT permitted. All participants must be signed before the facilitator plays the first video; if the participant walks in and the training has already started he/she be considered late and will not receive credit.
