Registration will open July 2024

June 1st to August 30 Online Registration.

 

Registration Session

August 20st and August 27th, 2023, outside after all masses.

Due to limited space, registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Documents needed at the time of registration as is applicable to your child/children:

• Birth certificate

• Baptismal certificate

• Medical Form

It is a diocesan requirement to have these on file for each candidate preparing for First Communion.

CLASS DATES

All English Pre-Kinder/Kinder, Communion and Continuing-formation classes will begin

Sunday, September 17, 2023, First Day of class and Mandatory Parent Meeting at 9:30am.

 

The class days are scheduled on alternating Sundays thus, we will meet alternately for class & mass every other Sunday. This will give you and your family the opportunity to attend other preferred masses every other Sunday!

This plan also provides the children/youth the required minimum 30 hours of catechetical instruction yearly. A program calendar is available on our website.

 

CLASS TIMES

First Communion:

9:20 am to 12:30 pm (Noon Mass Included)

 

 

 

TARDIES

Students need be on time and prepared to participate with his/her book and materials.  In case of late arrival, stop by the office before going to class.

 

CLASS SIZE

All students will be placed accordingly to the level of instruction needed. Class size will be determined by enrollment and grade level.  Students will be placed on a roster at the time of registration provided all proper documentation is submitted and tuition is paid in full. Once the class reaches its limit, the class will be closed.  (Minimum class size = 15, Maximum class size = 25)

CLASS ATTENDANCE

All students are required to complete 30 hours of class instruction in one year.  Children/youth in First Holy Communion sacramental classes will move up with their class provided all requirements for that level have been met. Any absences must be called in by the parent to the office and to your child/youth’s catechist.  Make-up work is required. More than 3 unexcused absences will result in being dropped from the program and not completing impending sacraments. 

 

MASS ATTENDANCE

All parents & students are encouraged to celebrate the 11:30am Mass. To help our families worship together on Sundays, families with more than one child in the program may choose the class to sit with at Mass and bring their other children to that class to sit together.

 

FIRST RECONCILIATION AND

FIRST COMMUNION

 

Children are required to attend no less than 2 consecutive years of formation from 1st grade through High School. If the 2-year formation period. it is very important that parents be committed and involved in their child’s formation! Parents in 2nd year Communion must attend a “Eucharist Retreat” with their child in the spring of 2023.

PARENT MEETINGS

Parents of children/youth in sacramental classes will be required to attend Sunday adult formation meetings. ​

11:30am to 1:20 pm (Class Time)

Clases en Español participan en la Misa

1:30 pm en español. (la familia es bienvenida a sentarse en el área designada para primera comunión)

Las primeras comuniones en español comienzan Domingo 17 de Septiembre 2023.
